Are you here with the social club?

Its been a while.  Ok so two Fridays ago a bunch of us at the office decided that we were going to try out the new pub around the corner from our new office.  We tried to reserve a table but that ended up not working so we were all just standing outside because when its above 50 degrees in London people just stand outside the pub drinking.  After one round, one of my co-workers goes inside to grab another round of drinks.  We're all standing outside waiting for him and getting quite thirsty, so Mel and I decide to go investigate what's taking so long.  As soon as we walk in we see Alco (drink getter) sitting at a table chatting up some girl (who is clearly there with her boyfriend).  They are sitting at a table that had reserved signs all over it that looked like it could sit about 10 people, but there were only 4 there, not including Alco.  He waves us over and tells us to sit down.  We sit down, do introductions, and one of the men comes over and says, so how long have you been on City Socializers?  Mel and I looked at each other and replied "huh?".  Apparently these tables were reserved for people who were on the match.com equivalent for people who aren't very good at making friends.  The ring leader tells us all about it and we said, "oh, well we're ok on friends, but can we sit here for a while?  We're with him" pointing to Alco.  Alco turns to the lady he's talking to and says, we'll I'm with her.  She turns to her boyfriend and says I'm with him.  So the ring leader realizes that no one's turned up for his pary.  But we all end up bring friends.

About an hour later some more CS-ers show up, but we decide that we should probably stick around to help the conversation moving since they are all so awkward.  Eventually Mel, Alco and I decide to head out.  As we're walking out the door, one of our new friends taps us on the shoulder.  He's a short German who looks like he's about 12.  He asks if he can come along. So we say sure why not!  We head to the next bar where Matthius (Matty as he's told us to call him) proceeds to ruin every game of 100 vs 1 that we play on the game machine in the next bar.  I try to explain to him that he can't simply go pushing buttons unless he knows the right answer.  Of course after a few rounds my competitive streak reared its ugly head and I ended up banning Matty from ever touching the screen again.  Shortly after that we decide to pull a group Irish Exit and we bolted.  Oops!  Well ok we were nicer than that, we told him we were going home, but we just moved locations.  Home boy should know not to mess with my games!
