Update from the BA strike front:
BA took the union, Unite, to court. Basically BA said that the strike was illegal because when Unite passed out the ballots to its members to say "Do you want to strike?", they also sent them to people that had stopped working at BA as long as 9 months ago. So the court said, sorry bout your luck Unite, the strike is illegal. Now the strike is off. Unite is complaining like a biotch because they said this is a loop hole. The thing is, it was so dumb of them because 92% of the people that were balloted voted for the strike, and even BA admitted that the number of people that didn't work there any more that got surveyed was negligible. So they could have followed the rules and had the strike anyway. Greedy, greedy.
I'm actually pretty mad that the strike did get called off because now I have a ridiculous credit with Continental. There is still a chance that something could happen anyway. Unite is reserving their right to appeal, and they are re-balloting everyone. Even if that happens quickly, they are saying the strike won't take place until after the new year. I'm also mad it got called off because I'm not sure I trust myself to be a nice passenger to my flight crew on the 23rd now. But I guess they'll have a lot of that.
So I am not so patiently watching the news to see what happens.
In other news, I can't wait for this year to be over. Bring on 2010. And if anyone has suggestions as to fun places to go next year, let me know.

They're talking about a foot + of snow here, so I may not be making it home for the holidays myself. We should virtually drink together in that case!
