Aggressive? HA.

Well I successfully threw my first baby shower!  I couldn't have done it without the help of V.  She kept me sane during the planning, and made sure the entertainment was a big success!  Allison was very happy, and all the guests helped out as well during the day.  Everyone left with a goodie bag (V and I thought that giving goodie bags is a lost art) and a smile.  So now I have mastered, keg parties, rugby drink ups, graduation parties, bachelorette parties, and baby showers.  Hmmm...what next?  Weddings?  First birthday parties?  Only time will tell!!

I also went to my first golf lesson this week.  It went very well!  My instructor is one of the most english people I've ever met in my life.  He's got that very dry english wit, and just LOOKS english, if you know what I mean.  He's really funny.  Yesterday he taught me how to swing.  GAPS.  Grip, alignment.....p...s....well, I'm pretty sure I've got the swing down anyway!  He also told me I was hitting the ball and swinging too aggressively.  Ben, who I'm taking the lessons with, just stood on the side and chuckled.  Later, he told me that he was thinking "buddy, this is her on a good day..you haven't SEEN aggressive!" Next lesson is on Thursday, and I plan to get some practice in on Tuesday for sure, and maybe this weekend while in Newquey!

Tomorrow at noon, I'm heading to meet V, Amrit, and Cam.  We are drive first to Stonehenge (not to be confused with Stone HEDGE - I've been told it is NOT a hedge of stones, so I must not call it that), and then onto Newquey.  I'm VERY excited!!  We are staying with V's parents.  I might ask her dad if he has some golf clubs I can swing.

And finally...two new words I've learned.  Y-front = tighty whitey, but specifically when old me wear them.  I learned this at work....I work with some weird people.  The second is Mac.  Short for Macintosh aka raincoat.  I think I've heard of Macintosh as a rain jacket before, but never shortened to Mac.  English people love shortening things.  I know, coming from the girl who says "Totes" because "totally" is too long, it's ironic.

Remember these words "Let the club do the work". Just keep chanting that phrase...
