Because I haven't done this in a while, I thought I would give an update on weird things the Brits say that I've learned over the past few months.
Ta = Thanks
"Here's your tea Mel"
"Ta Kat!"
Caught the sun = Got some color
Eddie: "Kat, looks like you caught the sun this weekend!"
Kat: "Huh?"
Partner = Boyfriend/girlfriend but not in a gay/lesbionic way
Big: "Aren't I a little old to be called your boyfriend?"
Carrie: "Ok fine you can be my partner"
Chat me up = Pick me up/hit on me
"Yeah this guy this weekend was totally chatting me up"
a-lu-MIN-e-um = Aluminum
Skiving = playing hooky/slacking
"He's not sick at all, he's fully skiving"
Sporting:
Nike = Nike - but they pronounce it like bike.
Adidas = A-dee-das (a like apple)
Street London:
Cold = awesome
Blood = close friend
Innit = Isn't it/just a filler word
"Hey Blood! That jacket's COOLLD, innit?!"
Australian:
Crack = really great, hit on
"Its a crackin' good day to eat some kangaroo!"
"I have to take a crack at that girl."
This never gets old...

You can retaliate by dropping a little Jersey on them:
Gahead - Go Ahead
Caufee - Coffee
Momback - Come on back up
'Blagged'? Speak English to me Tony, I thought this country spawned the fuckin' language and so far nobody seems to speak it. -Snatch
