Change Sucks!

I was talking with one of my friends who was trying to teach his dad how to skype.  He said, I don't understand what it is about old men and their inability to understand and accept new technology!  (about 30 minutes later said friend complained about change of some kind and I told him that he quickly following in his dad's footsteps).  But I think that's how you know you're getting old...you hate change.  I would be perfectly happy if I could operate on Windows 97 for the rest of my life.  I knew all the tricks on it.  Now, with windows chrome or whatever it is, I can barely figure out how to add a table to my word docs.  Not fun.

There has been a lot of change going on in London, and will continue into the summer.  No, clearly I'm not talking about the election.  I'm not allowed to vote, so I really can't be bothered to follow.  I have a hard enough time keeping up with things going on back at home!  My friends are all leaving!!  Hills is shipping back to Chicago tomorrow which has given me the MAJOR sads.  Tam and James are moving to Hong Kong in June (I've refused to acknowledge this is happening as of yet...I can't handle two leaving at once).  Its funny because when I was leaving DC, I felt like everyone around me was much more sad about me leaving than I was.  I have since figured out that's because I had something exciting I was going to, where as for my friends, there was just going to be a void where I used to be.  That's how I currently feel about Hills, and will feel about Tam.  I know she is wayyyy excited to be going to Chicago, where I'm just thinking whaaa my friend won't be here any more! :(  But at least it gives me a second excuse to visit Chicago (the first is Keith, one of my good friends I studied abroad with)!

Yes so overall, I've decided...I'm getting old because I hate change.  I would like to just live out Hill's and I's plan to live in a house with reality show stars Bethany from the Real Housewives of New York, Kendra, and Snookie.  We would then have our own reality show and it would be amazing.

Ok that's all for now.

Other than death and taxes (steadily increasing due to the socialist running DC, for now), change is the only thing we can really count on as a constant in our lives. To quote the great Alan Parsons Project, "there's no future in the past".
