Once again - a third world country

I believe I've stated in the past one of my favorite quotes I've heard to describe the UK - "One of the most civilized third world countries".  This is commonly made in reference to the craptacular public transportation, the fact you have to have a land line to get internet, etc.

This morning I woke up and thought I had been parachuted into India overnight.  I turn on GMTV, sad to see my main man Ben is still on holiday, and see the emergency ticker at the bottom of the screen going off.  I look closely and read that a volcano in Iceland has gone off.  The smoke and ash from the volcano has floated over to the UK cancelling all flights out of the UK.

Ok seriously, volcano ash affecting flight patterns?  Maybe its because I am from an area of the country where we have no hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanoes, etc, but this just sounded like something that would be an issue in like India or Thailand or one of those countries.

I called Hillary this morning to say text me with your new number when you land tonight, love you, blah blah.  She just called me back.  "Oh didn't you hear about freaking Iceland??  I mean, what a freaking waste of space that country is anyway!!  How the frick am I supposed to entertain a 2 month old with no toys for 24 hours!?  I'm stranded at a Heathrow airport!"  She is not to happy.  Maybe she should just stay!

Whats all this then, an erupting volcano? Was Kevin involved in this? I heard on the news that Mary Poppins, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell were all grounded too!
