Please note this blog was written while I was dilusional from heat

A heat wave has hit London. In my office. Outside its a gorgeous 80 degrees, sunny, a slight breeze. Its beautiful. Inside my office we are melting. We have no air conditioners, just cooling units that are glorified fans. The cooling unit is telling me that its 31 degrees. That translates to 88 degrees. fmylife.

On the plus side, Katie was just here for a week and got to meet a bunch of my friends. We walked all around town, went to Buckingham Palace to see if Harry could come out to play (he couldn't), went out for drinks with work friends, did a little shopping, saw Darren Brown (this was Alco's idea. He's so smart)(and I don't mean that sarcastically...he's REALLY smart)(actually he's sitting behind me reading this but he just looked away...he's only kind of smart), hit Soho and Kensington Roofgardens. Mel was there (she wanted me to tell you that). It was a great weekend. We also saw The Hangover. It was AWESOME. I want to go see it again. Because it was really good, but also because the theaters are air conditioned. I wonder if I could hide there and sleep there at night? This will have to be looked into.

This weekend is the celebration of America's awesomeness. And Spider 1 and 2's birthdays (RIP Spider). Hillary is having a bbq which should be a lot of fun. I'm going to try and get some fireworks which would be really fun.

I'm re-reading this right now and realizing how cracked out this heat is making me. People are confused as to why I'm handling this so poorly. I try to explain that the heat is worse but there is also air conditioning everywhere and pools. I think this office is currently in violation of some sort of labor law. I feel like I'm one of Kathy Lee Gifford's slave kids in China or something.

I should probably quit while I'm behind. Stay cool America.

I'm reminded of the words your Grandmother used to say, "Horses Sweat, Men Perspire and Women Glow".
