Friday I went into the pharmacy to get some dayquil equivalent.
me: "Hi, I need something for cold symptoms...head congestion, nasal congestion, headache..."
Male clerk: "Ah ok you have the flu"
me: "No, it's just a cold, but what should I take"
Male clerk: "Ok take this day nurse/night nurse combo. It's great for the flu."
me: "Ok great thanks...but it's just a cold."
Male clerk: "Cold..flu..all the same."
me: "Well, it's not...maybe to a man it is, but really, just a cold."

It has always completely boggled my mind that so many people say they have "the flu" when they simply have a head cold. Doesn't the flu consist of stomach issues and feel so achy I can't walk stuff? Hmph. Glad to hear you haven't got the flu ;)
