Well....it's snowing again. They say this light snow is supposed to last throughout the night. They are "working through the night" at Heathrow to keep the one runway they have working open. Hopefully they have found some plows in somewhere in the country to make that happen. To entertain, and distract, myself, I'm watching Die Hard 2. Probably not the best movie to watch when you're about to fly to America in the snow BUT it was either this or a Friends episode that I've seen about 1,000 times. So Die Hard 2 wins.
I'm obviously a bit concerned about the snow delaying my journey home, but what my immediate attention is drawn to is that my dear friend Hillary is stranded out in Wales and not able to make it in to London. She lives in Chicago with her English husband and their cute little baby boy. They flew in on Saturday. They were diverted to Glasgow because Heathrow had shut down already, had to get a hotel room and then take a 6 hour train to west bumble, Wales. Overall it took them 48 hours for a journey that should have taken 9. Oops. They were supposed to come to London tomorrow to visit, but it's been snowing there all day apparently, and they may not even be able to make it to the train station, let alone worry about if the trains are running. This makes me very sad :(.
Oh...it appears to have stopped! Ok, fingers crossed for this evening!
